Real and fake sennheiser earphones

A lot of people must be thinking what kind of fake Sennheiser earphones can that be, and are tempted to buy the so-called originals from online stores, ebay, yahoo auctions, or even at amazon.com

Here it goes... spot the difference, and determine whether you still want to go for the fakes, or the listed originals.




These information are outed. Most of the fakes now have already corrected most of these mistakes.

  • No validation sticker for the imitation, although some originals misses out on that.

  • Impedance is missing an omega sign (ohm)
  • German word 'Schalldruckpegel' is mispelled
  • 'Technical data' is truncated, it appears like 'Tech nical data".

the imitation earbuds tend to be dirty.

  • Original Sennheiser logo is crisp and clear, no edges
  • imitation sennheiser logo is jagged.
  • Original sets are centered at the box, with larger alignment away from the left.
  • imitation sets are aligned to the left, which is very near to the left of the box.

Original sets can be bought at all mega stores like Best Denki, Courts, etc... please refrain from online sellers trying to pose off original earphones without showing you the essential parts of the earphones.
